the pleasure project

after standing in the parking lot in 30 degree weather to hit my friend's vape before i got in my car and then drive 70 mph down the highway while listening to my favorite music at full volume i created the pleasure project.

for my birthday i want to have a dance party. then i thought how fun would it be to make it live music. so i thought about who of my friends would actually be willing to put in the work to play all my favorite songs for a couple hours. then i thought if i sang the songs it would hold some work ethic to my name and make it more fair. and then all the eyes would be on me. perfect! then how would i get the space for this? well i could book out a practice room, but i would need an excuse. how about i have my friends who are journalism majors record it? call it a documentary? perfect! well now i should do something with this footage... well i can make it about the fact i needed to rent out a room to have this show... how i want the world to be around me for one night... well lets raise the stakes, lets fill the room with cameras... lets invite as many people as we know... now its performance art... now its a statement about vanity and perversion... now more people will be interested and want to come or perform or record... now even more eyes are on me... more dancing more volume more validity more credibility... more reason... i'm a star! i wanted a dance party but now its extrapolated into this. now i can have a dance party. now i can have a dance party!

i just wanted a dance party now it's the pleasure project.

dilapidated dilapidated dilapidated
